HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Course includes:

HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

In the ‘Provide First Aid Training course’ participants receive all the essential training from the ‘Basic Emergency Life Support’ training course with an additional first aid certification (HLTAID011) this course is delivered in person as well as an online component. The course equips candidates with the skills and knowledge to act quickly and confidently in more than a dozen common first aid and emergency situations; managing the situation, assessing the casualty and communicating with emergency services. The course also covers first aid frameworks, one and two person CPR as well as choking.

The course was previously known as a Senior First Aid, Level 2 First Aid or Apply First Aid qualification.

HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

Course includes:

HLTAID011 Provide first aid

HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This course will equip candidates with the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults within an education and care setting. This includes asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

Specific licensing requirements, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and/or relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.
